How does AMD processors compare to Penitium and celeron? - compare amd processors

There was a time not more than a few months ago on AMD single-core were much better than their Intel counterparts, for example, an AMD 3800 by a 3.2 GHz Intel had burned his hands were PS cheaper. But since the arrival of Intel ® Core ™ 2 Duo, Intel has the market again. Core2 Duo much less expensive than the dual-core AMD and much better performance. If you then for single-processor AMD heart it is always better than single-core Intel. do not even think of a Celeron, it should not be mentioned here.
